About half-a-mile down the road, you can already see where the beach ends in the distance.
I have now approached the end of the beach. The sidewalk ends just ahead.
About a mile-and-a-half down the road, I could see the entire coastline I had walked along so far.
Interesting rock formations along the coastline as the area becomes more remote.
Pebble Beach is visible in the distance.
Further down the road, Point Lobos can be seen across the bay.
A better view.
I have now arrived at Carmel River Beach. Beautiful site on a more sunny day. Oh well.
An even better view of Point Lobos!
A view of Carmel River.
Erosion in the parking lot, which is closed, along with the restrooms, in order to prevent further erosion.
At this point, I am no longer on Scenic Road. The road became Carmelo Street at the closed parking lot mentioned above. The picture above is of Carmel River Lagoon.
Now, I walked for another (at least) TWO miles through many residential neighborhoods in order to meet up with the rest of my group.
